It's another pub in Otley (plenty have closed but there's still more than you could shake and old Otley man's walking stick at), and the White Swan is nothing special.
Standard name.
Standard beers.
Standard Otley people (some friendly, some not so friendly).
Standard prices.
Good enough for a pint (my pint was during a pub crawl and it was alright if unremarkable. But in case you're missing my point, it's pretty standard. There are definitely livelier, more unique places to drink in Otley. -

Many people venture out to Otley to get away from the busy surrounding of the city, and to get a bit of fresh air. Country pubs rightly have a reputation for being superior to the ciity centre equivalents, but I'm afraid I found little to write about in terms of The White Swan. With such high expectations due to its illegedly superior location, I felt a little let down. Don;t get me wrong, there was nothing particualrly wrong with this establishment, I just had expected more by way of an old feel and more of a selection of drinks behind the bar.
